scholarship. This scholarship provides
financial support to selected UT Austin students who have been chosen to
participate in the Bill Archer Fellowship program. Students gain a unique insight into
The varied internships available through the Bill Archer
Fellowship Program and supported by the JJDLF offer applicants the opportunity
to develop professional and personal skills with top
Founded in 1997, the JJDLF honors the memory of Jeff
Dye. His love of politics and dedication
to public service inspired the creation of the Foundation. Jeff was a government major at The University
of Texas at Austin. After working on
numerous campaigns, on the staff of a U.S. Senator and with the Democratic
Legislative Campaign Committee, Jeff went on to become the youngest Executive
Director in the history of Tennessee’s State Democratic Party. It is the mission of the Foundation to
identify high potential university students with a passion for public service
and educate them on governmental and political processes in order to help make
the world a better place.
